  • William Brown Center for Plant Genetic Resources: The William L. Brown Center for Plant Genetic Resources is dedicated to the study of useful plants, understanding the relationships between humans, plants, and their environment, and the conservation of plant species and preservation of traditional knowledge for the benefit of future generations.
  • RACINES: This database aims at being instrumental for the recognition of knowledge and practices rooted in local cultures worldwide. It is created in order to seek out existing documents and organise collected information in a manner that will be appropriate for research and action on intercultural alternatives to development.
  • NAPRALERT - NAtural PRoducts ALERT: The NAPRALERT File (NAtural PRoducts ALERT) contains bibliographic and factual data on natural products, including information on the pharmacology, biological activity, taxonomic distribution, chemistry of plant, microbial, and animal (including marine) extracts as well as ethnomedicine use records. In addition, the database contains information on the chemistry and pharmacology of secondary metabolites that are derived from natural sources and that have known structure. NAPRALERT contains records from 1650 to the present. Approximately 50% of the file is from systematic survey of the literature from 1975 to the present. The remaining records were obtained by selective retrospective indexing dating back to 1650. The records in this file contain bibliographic information and factual data on natural products, including CAS Registry Numbers for many chemical constituents.
  • ILEIADOC - Documentation database on Low-External-I nput and Sustainable Agriculture: The library database of the LEISA network contains ca. 8000 records of documents (books, reports, periodicals, websites, digitalized materials etc.) on sustainable small-scale farming and related topics. For approximately 20% of the records a short review or abstract is available.
  • Royal Botanic Gardens, Economic Botany Bibliographic Database: This database covers literature on useful plants from 1900-2002, when data entry ceased. The EBBD contains 33,000 references to publications relating to the uses by humans of flowering plants, gymnosperms and ferns. Entries date from the late nineteenth century to 2003, when data entry stopped. Subjects covered include the ethnobotany of plant use in traditional societies, medical and industrial uses of plants, and their domestication and history. Coverage focuses on wild plants and minor crop plants. About half of the citations on EBBD derive from recent data entry and are accurate, and consistently keyworded. Other citations derive from an older dataset and contain obvious spelling errors and inaccuracies.
